Abstract/Summary:
In Central Wisconsin, forest restoration work is often more complicated due to the parcelized nature of the landscape. This presentation will focus on a case study in New Hope Township, Portage County, Wisconsin (USA) for a project that was initiated by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. This case study will showcase how restoration and habitat work across a continuum of management activities can create a nucleus for a positive landscape impact. This project involved a collection of state agencies, NGOs, universities, private landowners, and various other stakeholders. The project is still in progress and is intended as a case study of fledgling success.
